The text traces Burns's transition from military officer to professor, provides insight for junior scholars in computers and composition, and seeks connections among military training, artificial intelligence, and teaching with technology.
I was the organizing design idea was to construct a text that followed multiple threads throughout the extensive interview, while at the same time fostering cross-thread connections establishing secondary themes.
